158652216405485986974Tower Of Fantasy is a high-quality and lore-heavy Tower Stage Obby by Lost Memoryz from January of 2024 with 82 stages across 3 towers both with several floors that all have separate mystical or fantasy themes.
Gameplay
edit edit sourceGameplay in Tower of Fantasy is split into three separate towers. The first tower is called the Fantasy Tower, while the second tower is called the Memory Tower, and the third being called the Truth Tower.
Tower 1: Fantasy Tower
edit edit sourceThe first tower is the Fantasy Tower. While stages can occasionally be challenging, it is widely considered to be balanced, although some stages, such as the final stage of the tower, can be exceedingly long. It starts at stage 1 where players spawn in at the lobby for the first time, and ends on floor 10 at the large stage of 41.
Floor 1: Candyland (stage 1-6)
edit edit sourceThe first floor (floor 1) is where players initially spawn. It is named the Candyland floor and is well-lit despite its night sky lighting. Players only have to complete simple and easy jumps throughout this floor as it contains only short and easy stages perfect for new players. It is the first floor to introduce the damage brick and truss ladder, ranging from stage 1 to stage 6.
Floor 2: Dreamland (7-11)
edit edit sourceThe next floor being Dreamland or Floor 2 of the Fantasy Tower shifts the sky to dawn and a light purple theme. It is the first floor to introduce a spinning platform or a 'Spinner Block'. It starts at stage 7 and ends at its final stage, stage 11.
Floor 3: Blueberry Forest (12-16)
edit edit sourceFloor 3 is named Blueberry Forest, after its light blue forest theme. It changes the sky back to night and starts immediately with an optional wallhop at a forked path, with the other option being 3 extra stages which introduce fading parts and thin wrap-arounds.
Floor 4: Under the Sea (17-21)
edit edit sourceFloor 4 is themed after the sea. It keeps the same night-sky lighting and transitions the theme into a darker blue or a deep sea-like shade. It starts at stage 17 and ends at 21, leading to the next stage on Floor 5 which is a beach.
Floor 5: Tropical Seaside (22-26)
edit edit sourceThe next floor, floor 5, starts at stage 22 on a beach following the last floor 'Under the Sea' (or floor 4). It contains thin platforms and swaying trusses. It ends at stage 26.
Floor 6: Sky Forest (27-32)
edit edit sourceOn floor 6 the sky shifts back to night as players enter the Sky Forest floor. This floor incorporates new mechanics such as single-rope loose platforms and swaying rope bridges that fade (fall) when jumped on. Sky Forest starts at stage 26 and ends at stage 32.
Floor 7: Magic Island (33-35)
edit edit sourceThe Magic Island floor is the 7th floor of the Fantasy Tower and continues the night-sky lighting from stage 33 to stage 35. It introduces swing rope platforms where players have to jump and grab on to the vine or rope (by touching it) and swing across gaps with it and jump off at the right time in the right direction.
Floor 8: Cloud Garden (36-38)
edit edit sourceThe 8th floor named the 'Cloud Garden' starts at stage 36 and ends at stage 38. It maintains a steady rise in difficulty over the previous 7th floor and is themed around a garden of floating clouds. These clouds fall when players jump on them, forcing players to move quickly across them.
Floor 9: Entrance of Heaven (39-40)
edit edit sourceThe 9th floor has a brightly lit theme around being heavenly and is aptly named the Entrance of Heaven floor. There are only two stages in this floor and they are long but manageable for the average player. The floor starts at stage 39 and ends at stage 40, right before the final stage of the Fantasy Tower at stage 41.
Floor 10: The Clock Tower (41)
edit edit sourceThe 10th and final floor of the Fantasy Tower is named the Clock Tower. It contains many spinning cog wheels as platforms that players have to jump across and is the hardest floor of the first tower. The only stage of Floor 10 and the last stage of the Fantasy Tower is exceptionally long and difficult.
Tower 2: Memory Tower
edit edit sourceTower 2 is titled the 'Memory' tower. It is littered with props and decorations relating to memory and memories. It is significantly harder to complete than the previous tower.
Floor 11: Oblivion (42-46)
edit edit sourceThe first floor of Tower 2 (or the Memory Tower) is called Oblivion and is matched in aesthetic by its dark gloomy sky filled with floating asteroids. It maintains a steady pace of difficulty and introduces no new mechanics, although some stages are quite long. It starts at stage 42, the first stage of the Memory Tower, and ends at stage 46, leading to floor 12.
Floor 12: Frozen (47-52)
edit edit sourceThe second floor of the Memory Tower is called Frozen. On this floor, the sky remains dark, but loses the asteroids. It shifts the design to a bright blue or a frozen theme.
Floor 13: Deep Sea (53-58)
edit edit sourceThe Deep Sea floor (the third floor) ramps up the difficulty significantly. It is the first floor in the entire game to include a ladder-flick. It is also required, with no alternative route. The platforms players have to jump on in this floor start to get very thin and small. It also blends small amounts of wood along with the deep-sea rock to resemble something of a ship wreckage.
Floor 14: Great Temple (59-61)
edit edit sourceThe detail and gameplay in this floor heavily resembles its intended theme a lot more than any other floor in this game. Floor 14, or the Great Temple, is set in an ancient temple setting with stone walls and glowing green runes. The difficulty also ramps up here with required ladder flicks and steep jumps. The average player struggles on this floor. It is worth noting that any green chains that may appear like they can be jumped on in fact cannot be jumped on.
Unknown Fragment
edit edit sourceThe first Unknown Fragment can also be found on this floor at stage 61. Players can collect the fragment by holding the E key, which plays a text cutscene saying:
- "There are four images draw on the shard."
- "The first depicts mint chocolate, the second a rusty sunset, the third - the universe itself... and then..."
- "The fourth is..."
- "It's just thick fog"
- "No matter what or how, I just move forward following new memories"
Floor 15: Mintchoco Valley (62-67)
edit edit sourceThe 15th floor or the fifth floor of the Memory Tower is Mintchoco Valley. It is themed after mint chocolate-chip ice cream.
Floor 16: Rusty Sky (68-72)
edit edit sourceThe next floor is Rusty Sky. It includes tight squeezes and fast conveyors. Falling platforms fall a lot faster in this floor. It also introduces the first beat block of the game, a mechanic that fades in and out on a set schedule. Players have to jump through a wall or jump on a platform at the perfect time to succeed. Despite being a new mechanic to players, 8 beat blocks are found in the floor.
Floor 17: Boundaries and Horizon (73-75)
edit edit sourceFloor 17 takes place in deep space. It contains low visibility barriers that may look invisible and confuse some players. It is the final floor that contains the final stage (75) of the 2nd tower or the Memory Tower.
Tower 3: Truth Tower
edit edit sourceThe third tower of Tower of Fantasy is called the 'Truth Tower'. The first floor is less of a tower and more of an empty void of space filled with an obby. The tower begins the next floor.
Floor 18: Silent Phantasm (76)
edit edit sourceThe first floor (floor 18) of the Truth Tower is called Silent Phantasm. It is a dark and gray-scaled floor. it is another significant difficulty increase, containing very small and quickly fading platforms. The floor contains only one stage, ending with an other white orb which triggers a text cutscene:
- "Why are you still seeking the truth of the past?"
- "All the fantasies you've seen were made for you - and you alone."
- "And yet, what lies beyond could still be nothing more than a shard of illusion, not truth."
- "And yet, if you still choose to proceed... are you prepared to wake from the sweet dream?""
Floor 19: The Fantasy Laboratory (76-78)
edit edit sourceThe second floor of the 3rd tower is themed after a fantasy laboratory and is the first floor to introduce instant kill-bricks at stage 77. It is relatively difficult to sight-read.
Floor 20: The Fantasy Factory (79-82)
edit edit sourceFloor 20 is the final floor of the entire game and is very darkly lit. Players need to rely on the bright arrows to figure out where to go. It contains the first required wall-hop in the game with no way to bypass it. Floor 20 is the final completed floor of the game and ends at the unfinished stage of 82. The sign at the end of the game stats: "Update soon" and "we are working really hard."
Design
edit edit sourceThe first and second tower have significantly different designs. The first tower, the Fantasy Tower, is mostly bright and vibrant. It has soft colors, well-lit floors, and clearly visible jumps. The second tower, the Memory Tower, is much more dark and gloomy. While jumps remain well-illuminated, the overall theme of the tower is dark like space. Both towers contain a surprising amount of detail for a tower stage obby.
