Licensing

The Obby Wiki is generally available under the CC-BY-SA 4.0 standard license unless otherwise noted on a per-article basis or in regards to the content being in the Template and Module namespaces, in which case CC-BY-NC-SA 4.0 applies, with exceptions below.

Modules & Templates

Modules and templates are excluded from CC licensing and licensed under the AGPL-v3.0 license (or the GNU AFFERO GENERAL PUBLIC LICENSE Version 3). You can view the source code behind our modules as well as our template files at the ObbyWiki Shared Modules & Templates Repository on GitHub. This is the main license for every module and template unless the module is imported, in which event the source wiki's license applies or the source material's license, etc.

For legacy modules and templates which specifically state they are still licensed under CC-BY-NC-SA, see below:

Legacy modules and templates (that state they are licensed under CC-BY-NC-SA) are licensed under CC-BY-NC-SA 4.0, meaning they cannot be used for commercial purposes.

Exclusions to CC-BY-NC-SA

We allow independent wikis to re-use our modules and templates under CC-BY-SA 4.0. By independent wikis, we are referring to any individual wiki or wiki project that is not run by a for-profit company. Please use said code and content responsibly and within the license agreement.
