4-step Checklist to Contributing

Hello! This is a simple and quick 4-step checklist to get you going on the Obby Wiki, starting as a newcomer.

4-step Checklist

1. Create your account. This is the first and most important step to joining the wiki, as it gives you many benefits. It also gives you credit for your contributions, which is something everyone should appreciate!
2. Find a page that needs help. The Stubs category contains a list of pages that need improvements. Many of these pages have very obvious improvements that you can fix. This helps everyone out!
3. Find out what you want to edit in it. Now that you've found a page to contribute to, scope out what you want to change.
4. Edit the page. From here, it's really as simple as just editing the page. Make sure to use US English and follow the Wiki Rules & Guidelines when making your edit.
5. Click the save button to publish your changes. You can also leave a little note on what you changed.

How to create an account

You can create a free Obby Wiki account by clicking the person icon in the top right corner, then clicking the 'Create account' button. From here, you can fill in your username and password, or login with an existing account from an external provider such as Google, Roblox, or Discord.

If you use Roblox, Discord, or Google, you will be able to create an account and login without a password, but it is recommended that you create a unique password anyway in the case that you lose access to your external account, as otherwise you would need that account to login to the Obby Wiki as well. After signup, you can manage your account connections in Special:Preferences.
