Blog:Redlink improvements

From Obby Wiki

Significant improvements to redlinks!

Redlinks are much faster to fill in thanks to the new OWAF integration

As an update onto the recently announced Article Flow modal, you can now quickly click a redlink to open the modal automatically. It works just as you'd expect, find a missing link, click it, and proceed with the layout questions just as if you'd entered the page there yourself. This blocks a common pain point where editors had to get the name of the page either without going to it, or wasting time going to it. In the event you would want to visit a redlink and the editor manually, you can use any modifier key to open it in a new tab instead. If on mobile, you can hold it down and open it in the new tab.

As an additional improvement that doesn't fit into any other announcement, users using the flow will automatically be returned to their inputs if asked to log in or sign up. This means that if a new user stumbles upon a redlink and clicks it, they can sign up and contribute even faster!

Thank you for reading. Additionally, some issues caused by the recent MediaWiki 1.46 migration have been resolved.
