Test Your Tier is a tiered obby which starts at tier 1 and goes through every tier until 'tier 18' where it ends. The aim of the game is to play as long as you can and beat as many stages (tiers) as possible for you in order to see what tier you're on. Tiers are a method of measuring the difficulty of an obby.
Many of the later stages, although very difficult, aren't precisely consistent with the Tiers System. However, generally, difficulty is subjective, and they aren't very off. Tier 17 and 18 aren't widely considered real tiers.
Gameplay
edit edit sourceThe gameplay is consistent with a standard R6 obby with little custom or EoTH mechanics.
Hardcore Mode
edit edit sourceHardcore mode, in contrast to the default mode, enables the counting of your tier and saving of it, at the cost of disabling the noclip tool. It also separates your team to the 'legit' team in the players list.
Tier 1
edit edit sourceTier 1, or the first stage, largely consists of just walking up two slopes. It is possible to fall off the sides of the stage, forcing you to walk around and jump back up.
Tier 2
edit edit sourceThe jump between Tier 1 and Tier 2 is barely noticeable. It introduces fail-able jumps that are still really easy. Tier 2 ends with an easy jump and a ladder leading to Tier 3.
Tier 3
edit edit sourceTier 3 in Test Your Tier is the 2nd stage, slightly bumping the difficulty by introducing a 1-stud tightrope and riskier jumps. It is still pretty easy overall
Tier 4
edit edit sourceThe next tier, Tier 4, begins with the first wrap-around of the game. It contains thin platforms and jumps and many elements which borderline require shiftlock to complete. Tier 4 requires bouncing from truss and gliding on a head-hitting truss as well as gliding on a ladder. The largest wrap-around is 3 studs long. The tier is relatively long in comparison to the previous tiers.
Tier 5
edit edit sourceTier 5 is the next tier and is shorter than the previous tier. It requires a much higher skill level to complete, starting with the same aspects and challenges and ending with required ladder flicking and a wallhop. While these aspects are challenging, they are mainly in an area where you can't fall completely when you fail. Tier 5 is directly visible from the start of the game.
Tier 6
edit edit sourceTier 6 begins on a large flat platform. When falling from a tier above, it is likely you will land here and have to restart from Tier 6 instead of Tier 1. Relatively, there are no new mechanics and is really just a skill bump.
Tier 7
edit edit sourceTier 7 gets thinner platforms and ladder-flick wrap-arounds as well as small carve-outs you have to perfectly jump into. It is short but difficult.
Tier 8
edit edit sourceStarting with a large wrap-around is Tier 8. This tier introduces slanted platforms that are difficult to balance your jumps on. It requires many truss bounces and high jumps.
Tier 9
edit edit sourceTier 9 requires high jumps and high truss bounces, but is very short.
Tier 10
edit edit sourceTier 10 is also slightly short, but requires taking risky jumps that you can fall all the way back to Tier 6 if you're not careful.
Tier 11
edit edit sourceTier 11 is where the game starts becoming very challenging, even for the best obby players. It starts with a very large long-jump and is difficult to sight-read.
Trivia
