This page outlines the Terms of Use for the Obby Wiki (occasionally referred to as the "Project"). By using the Obby Wiki, you agree to the Terms of Use. You, the "user" are welcome to review these Terms of Use at any time at this web page. By using our services (defined in section 1), you agree to our Terms of Use.
If there is a translated copy of these Terms of Use available, this version (the English version) takes precedence over it.
1. Our Services
The Obby Wiki is a collaborative editing platform dedicated to documentation and archives. This Project is driven by community feedback and collaborative editing. The Obby Wiki itself does not take an editorial role in the content produced in this wiki.
You, the user, are responsible for the content you upload to this website. You are legally responsible for your edits and contributions on the Project, your reuse of content on the Project, your use of the APIs, and your use of our services more generally. For your own protection you should exercise caution and avoid taking any actions that may result in criminal or civil liability under any applicable laws. For clarity, applicable law includes at least the laws of the United States of America and the State of California. For other countries, this is determined on a case-by-case basis. Although we may not agree with such actions, we warn users—particularly the editors, contributors, and authors—that non-U.S. authorities may seek to apply other country laws to you, including local laws where you live or where you view or edit content. We generally cannot offer any protection, guarantee, immunity or indemnification against the application of such laws.
2. Privacy Policy
We ask that you review the terms of our Privacy Policy, so that you are aware of how your information is collected and used.
3. Content We Host
You may find content hosted on the Obby Wiki out of date or erroneous. Because we host a wide array of content that is produced or gathered by fellow users, you may encounter material that you find offensive, erroneous, misleading, mislabeled, or otherwise objectionable. We therefore ask that you use common sense and proper judgment when using our services.
Content on this Project is presented for use as general information and knowledge only. It does not contain professional advice, nor should any information on this Project be interpreted as such.
4. Rules & Guidelines
By using our services and agreeing to the Terms of Use, you recognize your behavior on this site is subject to our Rules and Guidelines. If a violation of these rules occurs, your account may be suspended or terminated with or without notice at the sole discretion of us and our staff.
5. Minimum Age
In order to use the Obby Wiki while logged into an account, you must be at the minimum age of 13, or older. This applies to both using an account and creating a new account.
6. Password Security
You are responsible for safeguarding your own password and other security credentials, and should never disclose them to any third party.
7. Hot-linking
Hot-linking is the act of embedding another service's images or data on another page without consent, often as a means of utilizing their infrastructure and costs instead of storing the data locally as is respectful. While every piece of content on our service can be used under their respective licenes, we do not allow third-parties to directly embed our content or web pages on their sites as we cannot afford the upkeep. When referencing content on our service or including images, please do so properly under the correct license (listed in the page footer) and do not hot-link.
8. External bans
If you were previously terminated (permanently banned) from Roblox under valid terms (especially by a human reviewer), you cannot use or continue to use the Service.
9. Ban evasion
Do not, under any circumstances, return to the service following a termination. Unless you were banned for a technical reason, banned five years or more ago for an offense that was not illegal, or have been exempt by a staff member (which will create an account for you regardless), you are forbidden from creating a new account or participating with the Project in any way.
10. Respectful API usage
The Obby Wiki API (powered by MediaWiki) is provided as a courtesy and not a service. Applications planning on using the API should expect no certainty in regards to availability and access. When using the API, please be respectful and use the data responsibly, such as caching results reasonably. Do not use the API to attempt to store junk data or otherwise abuse our service(s).
11. Third Party Accounts
By signing in with a third party account, you authorize the wiki to receive basic profile data from that provider (as outlined in the Privacy policy), and your use of that provider remains governed by their own terms. The Obby Wiki is not responsible for the loss of your Obby Wiki account in the event where an external provider terminates your account, leaving you unable to log in to the wiki.
12. Modifications to these Terms of Use
This page will update following any modifications of the Terms of Use. Following this, your continued use of our services after the new Terms of Use become official constitutes an acceptance of these Terms of Use on your part. For the protection of the Obby Wiki and other users like yourself, if you do not agree with the Terms of Use, you cannot use our services.
